BI Roles

<Note - work in progress >

An attempt to list all of the Roles in Business Intelligence. List is based on experience, understanding and research. Roles are listed in alphabetical order. To keep the list short, Titles with prefixes like Trainee, Junior, Senior, Lead, Principal etc are excluded from the list.The Role descriptions are not comprehensive. Short descriptions are provided to help in differentiating between the roles. In general, for large implementations of BI Solutions there is at the least one person per role based on the Project needs however for smaller implementations one person performs more than one role. In case any of the roles are missing or some changes needs to be done, please do let us know via comments. Buzzwords are avoided. For salary range, a simple approach has been used. Salary of a BI Developer with X years of experience is considered as the Reference, And Reference =1,  Salary for all other roles are estimated based on the reference salary considering the same number of years of experience. For example, If the salary of BI Developer = 10 Units of any currency then for a BI Administrator with range 0.6 to 0.9 means that the salary will be between 6 to 9 units of the same currency. Please note these are general and very rough figures just to give you an idea, there are always exceptions.

To update the list please let me know using contact form or via comments and I will gladly update the list. List below was last updated in May 2017.
